Went to a luncheon at Carl Wilde, the celebrity TV florist's house. HIs partner John cooked a wonderful lunch with champagne.

Whilst driving in the hills above Huddersfield, I came across this sheep sitting at the bus stop on her rump with her back leaning against the bus stop post, just like she was waiting for a bus! I stopped the car a little way past and walked back to try and catch the magic moment, but sadly the sheep was wary and got up and walked away...but seeing this reminds me of the funny sight and makes me smile.

I have had so many requests from customers wanting to use credit card facilities that I now have my own machine.

Manual machine has arrived (for use in the event of no electricity) and electronic one will follow in a few days.

I've had an email from TAG group to say that my collage "That Dress" the story of Clinton and Lewinsky has sold for £200, at Darlington Arts Centre.

This is a photo taken of the work in progress, I put it in a heavy frame, screwed the eagle to the frame, added a FBI DNA report saying "Clinton ..positive"

I made a wire hanger for the dress, which was labelled "Exhibit A". The DNA stain was done in transluscent sequins. The background was embroidered with his famous lie "I did not have sexual relations with that woman". In the end I did not add the cigar box, but added three cigar bands instead. The trial notes said he did naughty things with his cigars!

In the rush to finish it in time, I do not think I took a photo of the finished piece. TAG group may have one.

After reading Andrew Morton's biography of Lewinski, my sympahies lay with her not Clinton. He behaved like a rat!

Fab rugs made from T-shirts cut into three quarter inch strips and stretched, so they form spaghetti which is then knotted onto rug canvas using lark head knots.

Great for kids rooms.

Great for recycling.

Time for a sad farewell, hopefully Au revoir. I met Beth through my painting, when she contacted me when she visited UK in June, 2001, and we email each other regularly.
Although Beth lives in Tasmania, Australia, we have managed to see each other every 5 years. I visited them in Tasmania when I went to Australia in 2006. They took me to the rain forest...one of those never to forget events in one's life. Beth did this European tour for her retirement celebration. Hopefully we will meet again...in another 5 years?

We went out to sea in the Pirate boat. Great weather and fab views of Whitby town, harbour and the abbey from the sea. The ship's cat always went to sea daily with her master. So when she died the Captian had her stuffed and put in a glass box, and she still sails every day with the ship.

Our stay at the lovely haunted Bagdale Hall was our treat to Beth for her (big) birthday!
I told the hotel how the Icelandic ash cloud had disrupted Beth's plan's and they gave her & Mike a free upgrade to a four-poster suite to make it extra special. They loved it. They said Venice & Whitby were the favourite parts of their European tour.
